Hitchcock Trailer: Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren Deliver a Tour De force Performance

The first trailer for the Fox Search Light’s film ‘Hitchcock’, the story of the making of Alfred Hitchcock’s legendary film ‘Psycho’ has been released. The Movie Grind has watched the trailer at least ten times, and our take away is that the film looks astounding. Anthony Hopkins promises to delivery a tour de force as performance as the Hitchcock and Helen Mirren looks equally as astounding in her role as Hitchcock’s wife Alma Reville. ‘Hitchcock’ Oscar written all over it, and we cannot wait for this film.

Here are a few screen shots from the trailer.

Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh:

Here is our first look at Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh. She looks perfect for the role, but the larger question is whether or not Johansson can hold her own working opposite such acting heavyweights as Hopkins and Mirren.

Jessica Biel as Vera Miles:

Jessica Biel plays Vera Miles the actress that plays Lila Crane in ‘Psycho’. Biel will probably have a small role in the film as Lila Crane was a secondary character in ‘Psycho’ and only had a few scenes as Janet Leigh’s sister.

Anthony Hopkins as Alfred Hitchcock:

The makeup on Hopkins looks fantastic, as he is a dead ringer for the late director of ‘Psycho’.  He was does an excellent job mimicking Alfred Hitchcock’s voice and speech patterns.

Helen Mirren as Alma Reville:

Helen Mirren plays Hitchcock’s wife Alma Reville and stand toe to toe with the legendary actor during their scenes in the trailer.

Shower Scene:

Scarlett Johansson recreating the famous Janet Leigh shower scene in ‘Psycho’.
