Let me start off by saying that if you like the trailer for “Wreck it Ralph” you’re going to enjoy the movie. The trailer isn’t misleading at all. It’s cute and funny and sweet. Your kids will love it. You’ll have a nice time. Really, for a kid’s movie it’s great.

‘Wreck-It Ralph’ is a great movie for kids but falls on the lower end of the scale for animated films.
If anyone reading this hasn’t seen the trailer, which is surprising but I’ll let it go, it’s about an arcade game “bad guy” who decides he wants to be a hero, so he decides to leave his game. If you ever played an arcade game as a child, you’ll appreciate it. There are a lot of characters from games like Pac Man, Street Fighter, etc etc. I’m not a “gamer” and even I felt the nostalgia of it.
The only thing I can say about this film is that it wasn’t better than a lot of other animated films. It was cute but it didn’t push outside of the box. “Toy Story 3”, “Brave”, “Despicable Me”, “Up”, and “How to Train Your Dragon” are all examples of really great animated films. I know people who thought, “Wreck it Ralph” had potential to be as good as those films but in my opinion it’s not.
Now don’t get me wrong, it is a good movie and I totally recommend it. Please see it. It’ll be funny and the characters are great, even parts of the plot are not predictable, but there’s something about it that doesn’t make me excited to watch it again.
But go and judge it for yourself! It’s worth the ticket price.
I would have to give it a 6.
1: One of the worst films ever made (Don’t ever watch) 2: A worthless film (unwatchable) 3: A bad film (but watchable) 4: Wait for the DVD 5: An average movie 6: Above average 7: A must see (watch it as soon as possible) 8: An excellent film (you may have to see it again) 9: Midnight showing worthy (a near perfect film) 10: One of the greatest films ever made.
